Meet Your School Counselor

Warm Wishes!

My name is Regina Robbins and I am the School Counselor here at LCS.

I am honored to be starting my third year here this August (2017)

and have been in the profession for 15 years, including one year on the

Big Island of Hawaii at Keonepoko Elementary School.

I serve all students at LCS in grades K-6. One way I do this is by teaching weekly

Guidance Classes in all grades.

I focus on many topics including Self-Esteem, Character Development, Friendship,

Anti-Bullying, Communication, Empathy, Identifying & Expressing Feelings, Managing Impulsivity, Self-Regulations Skills, Mindfulness, and Problem Solving. I also facilitate small school counseling groups on themes including the above and others that are need-based from referrals by parents, teachers, administrators, and students. Kindergarten students rotate through four-week groups with me as a part of their experience as new students to LCS. In addition to this, I provided individual school counseling to students as needed. I am in constant collaboration with my colleagues and families to ensure our students’ social/emotional needs are being met and they are ready and available for their academics in the classroom.

I am happy to meet with parents if any concerns arise for their child/children.

I am at LCS on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

I look forward to meeting you if I have not had the pleasure of doing so yet.
